New Generation Unit Enhances Reliability
El Paso Electric recently commissioned Newman Unit 6, a natural gas generation unit that can be running at full capacity within 10 minutes. It’s important to have a diverse energy mix, including resources that can start quickly to address sudden changes on the electric grid.
