Rates in Texas

EPE offers a special EV charging rate and a whole-house Time-of-Use (TOU) rate that can save customers money by using energy during specific hours.

A) Electric Vehicle (EV) Rate
Both residential and commercial customers qualify for this rate with charging activity operating at 120V and up to 480V. This rate requires an installation of a separate meter solely for recording energy usage of an electric vehicle.

Here's how to apply for the EV rate.

B) TOU Rate Option
This option is available to residential customers. The rate will apply to the entire house consumption, not specific to EV charging, but that provides the incentive to charge EVs during off-peak hours. This rate does not require installation of a separate meter but requires a meter change.
