El Paso Electric Launches Customer Advisory Partnership to Drive Collaboration and Innovation

Initiative brings together community members across different sectors

EL PASO, TX – El Paso Electric (EPE) is excited to announce the launch of its newest initiative to  help drive innovation and collaboration between EPE and its diverse community. The Customer Advisory Partnership (CAP) brings together  16 community members from a variety of local businesses and community organizations. The initiative kicked off with its inaugrual meeting held today with EPE President and CEO, Kelly A. Tomblin, and Vice President of Customer Care and Corporate Communications, Cheryl Mele.

“El Paso Electric is working hard to advance new strategies that will transform the energy landscape in our region, and the Customer Advisory Partnership (CAP) will play an integral role in helping us get it right,” shares EPE President and CEO Kelly A. Tomblin. “This is one way we can create opportunities to engage in strategic discussions with customers so we can hear directly from the community we serve and leverage their experiences and ideas. We are a strong partner in this community and are honored to support and grow a vibrant economy in this region.”

The CAP will hear information on new programs, EPE’s business strategy, and learn more about EPE’s vision.  The meetings will also provide an opportunity to seek community member’s input as EPE introduces new technology and infrastructure to enhance the customer experience and modernize our utility. CAP members will have an opportunity to share immediate feedback that will inform the Company’s partnership with customers.

About the Customer Advisory Partnership (CAP)

CAP members are individuals who live within EPE’s service territory and serve as an active customer, and represent a cross-section of perspectives including educational institutions, industrial companies, manufacturing businesses, small businesses and entrepreneurs, banking and financial sectors, nonprofits, economic and workforce development, and neighborhood associations.
