El Paso Electric Customers in Texas See a Credit on Their Bills

EL PASO, Texas (March 26, 2026) – All Texas El Paso Electric (EPE) customers will soon receive a credit on their bills from April to June 2025. The average residential customer will receive a bill credit ranging from $8.24 to $15.05 each month over the next three months.

EPE filed an application to implement an interim fuel refund with the Public Utility Commission of Texas. The fuel factor is designed to recover the cost of the fuel used to generate electricity. EPE does not earn a profit on fuel costs.

Texas customer refunds will vary based on the rate service they are currently on. EPE adjusts fuel factors periodically to more accurately reflect the current and forecasted cost of fuel. In New Mexico, fuel is adjusted monthly.
