PUC of Texas approves El Paso Electric sale to IIF, EPE hosts second community meeting with IIF in collaboration with City of El Paso
EPE and the Infrastructure Investments Fund (IIF) announced that the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) approved IIF’s proposed acquisition of EPE as being in the public interest. A Final Order from the PUCT is expected to be issued within the next few weeks.
EPE alongside IIF, an investment vehicle advised by J.P. Morgan Investment Management Inc., in collaboration with the City of El Paso held the second of two community meetings for El Paso at the El Paso Polly Harris Senior Citizen Center in West El Paso. Both EPE and IIF made presentations on the details of the sale of EPE to IIF, the benefits that will ensue as a result of the sale, as well as a presentation from Sonnedix – a solar energy company currently owned by IIF. Community members were encouraged to write their questions on notecards so representatives from EPE, IIF and the City of El Paso could efficiently address as many as possible.
