Texas Business Solar Program: Supporting Local Businesses with a Smarter Solar Option
EL PASO, Texas (April 22, 2025) – El Paso Electric (EPE) is excited to announce the launch of its Texas Business Solar program, a groundbreaking effort designed to provide businesses with access to clean, renewable solar energy without the need for on-site installations. Enrollment begins on April 22, 2025 — Earth Day — marking a major step toward advancing sustainable energy solutions for the Texas business community.
The Texas Business Solar program offers a flexible subscription model, allowing businesses to receive solar energy directly through EPE’s grid infrastructure. This approach eliminates the need for upfront investments, maintenance costs or the complexities associated with installing solar panels on business premises. By subscribing, businesses can seamlessly integrate renewable energy into their operations and demonstrate their commitment to environmental responsibility.
“Businesses across our region are looking for practical, cost-effective ways to reduce their carbon footprint,” said Jessica Christianson, Vice President of Business Development at EPE. “Texas Business Solar makes it easy to go green without disrupting operations or taking on added risk and it’s powered by a dedicated supply of solar energy right here in our region.”
Key Benefits for Business Customers:
- No rooftop installation or maintenance required
- Predictable monthly charges for long-term budgeting
- Supports ESG and carbon goals with added brand credibility
- Ideal for facilities with limited roof space or older buildings
- Simple enrollment process with no capital investment
