Three-Night Closure of Portion of I-10 Required as El Paso Electric Upgrades Energy Delivery System
EL PASO, Texas (January 24, 2025) – El Paso Electric (EPE) will make enhancements to its energy delivery system and will require a three-night closure of I-10 east- and westbound between Artcraft Rd. and Transmountain Rd. The nightly closures will be from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. beginning on January 28 through January 31, 2025.
To safely work on these upgrades, commuters are asked to follow detour signage and respect construction barricades. Closure and traffic detours will be assisted by local law enforcement and Apache Barricade & Sign.
Closure details:
- Tuesday night, January 28, 2025, through Friday morning, January 31, 2025
- Nightly from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- I-10 east- and westbound between Artcraft Rd. and Transmountain Rd.
- Commuters are asked to follow detour signage and respect barricades
Detour details:
- For westbound I-10 traffic: Exit Artcraft Rd. to Doniphan Dr. to State Hwy Spur 16 to I-10
- For eastbound I-10 traffic: Exit Transmountain Rd. to State Hwy Spur 16 to Doniphan Dr. to I-10
