El Paso Utilities Work With Customers Amid Financial Crisis Due To COVID-19

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact our globally community in every aspect of livelihood, people are quickly seeing the evolution from a health crisis to a financial fallout. Utilities across the nation have banded together to help their customers by suspending disconnections due to nonpayment. KVIA’s ABC7 News talks to El Paso Electric, who one week before both Texas and New Mexico officially ordered all utilities to suspend disconnections, EPE officially announced this initiative along with offering customers – both residential and business – resources to contact for payment assistance programs and for payment arrangements. And while managing monthly bills is enough to keep customers up at night, EPE shares tips on how each household can curve their bill with some energy saving strategies.
