KTSM: El Paso Electric workers come together for child abuse victims' center

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - An effort to help some of the Borderland's youngest victims of abuse got a jolt from the people of El Paso Electric.

EPE representatives presented a check for $6,000 to the Child Crisis Center of El Paso at Burges High School on Wednesday morning.

The money is a combination of fundraising, donations from EPE workers, and matching funds from the utility itself.

It’s all earmarked for things like shelter, advocacy and family support services, which the center has been offering since 1979.
