The Future Of Our Community Looking Bright
United Way of El Paso County awarded El Paso Electric (EPE) with the “2019 Moment-Maker: Employee and Corporate Giving Award” for the Utility’s efforts during the 2018 United Way Campaign Initiative.
United Way of El Paso County is a nonprofit organization built to serve the community’s most vulnerable populations through basic necessities, educational achievement, financial stability, and other resources they may need. United Way is able to provide this much needed support by partnering with companies and organizations within El Paso County who fundraise all year for these types of services. EPE has been a long-time partner and supporter of United Way by hosting an internal-campaign initiative annually organized by a committee of EPE employees who volunteer all year to raise funds. Employees within the utility can also choose to donate directly to United Way through automatic deductions from their paycheck.
With so much support United Way gets from the El Paso County region, EPE is proud to have been bestowed the prestigious “Moment-Maker” award. This award is earned by supporters who have garnered the most financial support among both employees and their company. By the end of the 2018 EPE United Way Campaign, a grand total of $327,000 was donated to United Way. We look forward to what the 2019 campaign has in store for EPE and our community.
